Strategic Planning

Get the guidance to set your organization on the right path.
John Thalheimer - Strategic Planning

Is it time to take your organization to the next level?

Strategic Planning is not as simple as setting goals. Strategic Planning is the process of developing well-defined strategic actions to give stakeholders the necessary information to make the best decisions on behalf of the company.

Many businesses decline because they lack a cohesive strategic plan. They have allowed the many competing voices to stall their progress and fail to make the hard decisions needed to keep the organization moving forward. Or they have focused their energy on parts of the organization that provides little return on their investments for the stakeholders.

In the woods, having the right guidance matters. It is the same for businesses.

With precision, John was able to help us identify the gaps on our team and in our service and have a laser focus on our mission and the ways we can best achieve our mission. He supported the design of our strategic plan from start to finish, even going the extra step to help train our leaders and staff on the changes necessary to be successful. He is a real gem!

It's hard to be strategic when you're so close to everything

My name is John Thalheimer. I believe every organization should have someone objective to help them create the correct, achievable plan for the future. I know what it’s like to be inside the jar, trying to read the label.

All of my work is rooted in helping organizations make the right decisions. I use the same behavioral training I learned as a leadership coach to help non-profits, small businesses, and corporate teams see beyond barriers, create clear paths, and prepare leadership teams to move confidently towards their goals.

I walk alongside your team, helping everyone work together to develop a clear future for your organization, keeping everyone motivated, and discussing the small behavioral changes your team can make individually and as a group to reach your ultimate goal.

Schedule a time to speak with me, and let me know how I can help your team chart the path to your goals.

John’s preparation and attention to detail created the right environment for our board’s strategic retreat. After a year and a half, the plan created still drives our business decisions and guides our strategic goals.

Plan your organization's journey

Over the years, I have created a simple methodology with a powerful impact called True Star Leadership.

1
Starting Point

Where we start is as important as
where we are going. No one can
help unless they know where you
are. We start by assessing where
your organization is today.

2
Direction

Direction provides clarity in the
actions necessary to achieve our
goals. Together the leadership
team and I will develop an
understanding of where the
organization is headed and what
it wants to accomplish along the
way.

3
Chart the Path

One of my favorite quotes is,
“There are three paths, and this is
one.” There is no one way to
your organization's goals. I work
with your team to develop a path
that best fits their talents and
skills, as well as your
organization's capabilities.

4
Journey

Even with a clear path, teams
stumble. As a guide, I walk
alongside your team, helping
them tap into their intrinsic
motivation, warning them of
potential hazards, and holding
them accountable to their
objectives.
